When I was a kid, I had a friend whose little sister has to get vitamin shots (B12 shots). When I asked why, they told me it was “because she wouldn’t eat her vegetables.” The poor little girl was in absolute terror when “shot time” rolled around. She screamed and cried before the appointment, and screamed and cried after. She was an expert tantrum thrower, IMHO.

That was along time ago. I remember thinking “Boy, I hate my vegetables, but I’m going to eat them!” I hate shots, and eating veggies was worth avoiding them. (Well, kind of. I STILL won’t eat tomatoes or peppers, but I do like onions now). :D

I’ve come across a lot of health blogs via Entrecards. I pay close attention because, although I do now eat my vegetables, I seriously doubt I get enough B12 and Folic acid in my system. I am always so tired and I get sick frequently. I’ve seen a website that has a pill you can buy so you can get your sublingual B12 here. What a wonderful idea! Why haven’t they offered this stuff in pill form?! My poor friend suffered all those years over shots, when pills could have done it! Does anyone take these kinds of pills? Here’s what the website says:

“Sublingual” means “under the tongue.” You simply place a TriVita Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid tablet under your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. TriVita’s original patented Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid was specially formulated to speed these essential B vitamins directly into your bloodstream!

Regular oral B-12 tablets have to take a long trip through your complex digestive system before being absorbed by your body. And, your ability to absorb B vitamins from food and regular oral pills decreases as you age.

With the TriVita original patented formula, you don’t have to worry about your B-12 going through a digestive system obstacle course – or the pain and expense of a B-12 injection. These essential nutrients go directly into your bloodstream, where they start working right away!

How about you? I’ve tried the regular (WalMart brand) B vitamin pills and I hate them! I seriously doubt their efficacy, too. I’d love to hear from some of you Entrecard health nuts. Check out the website and tell me what you think!

I don’t usually talk politics here on this blog. It’s too stressful. There just aren’t any good statesmen anymore (except Ron Paul! :D). If I think about politics too much, I’ll explode. I have my blood pressure to think about. And what a mess that would make all over the walls, tsk tsk.

Anyway, I saw the latest headline on Drudge Report and just HAD to chuckle. HILLARY CLINTON TO APPEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME ON FOX NEWS. HILLARY TO APPEAR IN BILL O’REILLY SHOW.

Big whoop. But it shows how desperate the lady is. Hillary is my senator (I’m in New York) and I do not like to think about it. She is a loser, and the only thing she has going for her is her nasty butchy attitude and her famous (but loser) husband. Plus, her whole governing philosophy is traitorous. :-p Can you tell I have no respect for the lady?

Still, my husband thinks she’ll win the presidency. When asked why, he says, “Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.” As if it’s destiny. The money lenders and the Federal Reserve Bank have it all planned.

Well, my blood pressure is starting to rise so I’ll end here. But I’ll leave you with the thought I have about the whole president election thing: it is WAAAY over-hyped. Why isn’t more attention given to who we elect for Congress, for they control things that directly affect us, like taxes, laws, and etc?

I don’t know WHAT it is with my telephone number, but I get about 12 or more telemarketing calls A DAY. I screen everything through my answering machine so I don’t have to deal with them. However, they are pretty nasty in that they wait for the answering machine message to finish, then they hang up. Sometimes they don’t hang up correctly, and I get that recording from the phone company “If you’d like to make a call, please hang up and try again” and it beeps and beeps. Quite loudly. I’m ranting, I know, but I am so sick and tired of it!! GRRR. I did register with the National No Call Registry, but I don’t know that it did much. I heard that the list expires after a few years! There’s got to be a better National No Call Registry system, somewhere.

Somebody gave me a link to a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup. Heh heh. What an interesting and useful little tool this can be! It’s free to use. I like the zip code list, too, because I am always wondering what state I’m calling for some of those online orders I make.

Something at the dinner table last night reminded us of a HEE-LAR-EE-US video of Lucille Ball. I can’t remember what that thing was that caused us to remember it anymore, lol. But the video is a clip from the I Love Lucy TV show, one of my favorite shows as a kid. I did so love I Love Lucy!!

The video we saw (on YouTube) was titled “Sour Grapes,” and it showed Lucy caught up in a winemaking skit in Italy. Unfortunately, the original video clip we saw at YouTube is gone now. All I could find was this copy someone did with their camcorder from a television. But an imperfect video of Lucy is better than no video! We loved watching it again. The video is in two parts. Be prepared to hold your sides together!
