ROFL! I came across this funny post at Natasha’s World today.

THE WORLD’S SHORTEST FAIRYTALE

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl “Will you marry me?”

The girl said: “NO!”. And the girl lived happily ever-after and went shopping, dancing, camping, always had a clean house, never cooked, did whatever the hell she wanted, never argued, didn’t gain weight, traveled more, had fun going on dates, had plenty of money, and had all the hot water to herself. She went to the movies, never had to watch sports, never wore friggin’ lacy lingerie that went up her butt crack, had high self esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous in sweat pants and was pleasant all the time.

The End

What a lovely story!

The only sad thing about it is that the girl got lonely from time to time, had no children (which is a crucial element for a very happy story), and some guy sure was miserable because he missed out on having a woman in his life.

I have two daughters and I hope they never marry. Why? Because I hate men? No, that’s not why, and I don’t hate men! because of this:

But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this…

An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.

I Corinthians 7:8-35

This is true and I believe Paul had wisdom. Marriage is not for everyone. It can be such a blessing, but it is a fact that it is a distraction.

I was browsing through my media files tonight and discovered an old mp3 file of Ofra Haza singing “Jerusalem of Gold.” I am not Jewish, but I grew up in a semi-Jewish household and I am a “true Jew” because I believe Y’shua Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies of the scriptures. I love her music.

Ofra Haza was a poor little girl from Tel Aviv, and her story is the classic “discovery” from rags-to-riches story. I have a few of her CDs, and even though I do not speak Hebrew fluently, it is thrilling to hear her vocalize the psalms and many other Hebrew scriptures. She was most popular during the 80s and 90s. Sadly, she died of AIDS at the age of 42. She had gotten the disease from her husband.

I found a few videos of her singing. It sends chills up and down my spine!

I heard about a free bottle of liquid foundation, from Maybelline. It’s that mineral power liquid foundation I’ve been hearing about, so I signed the information to get a free bottle. If you want some, go here to fill out a form.

Well, I am slowly rebuilding my widgets. I am still very steamed that Wordpress deleted the information in it. That bug really needs fixing. It has happened to me on a few other blogs, too. GR! So I am in the process of gathering all the code from the social networks I’d joined. The only good thing to come out of this is I found another cool network: join 3gb community www.3gb.biz. It looks pretty good. It allows you to meet friends, upload photos and albums, listen to mp3 music, and chat. Sounds like an all-in-all kind of network. So far, I see they have almost 400 members. And I see some of my friends there already! Check it out!

Why oh WHY OH WHY does Wordpress delete my widgets?!?!?! The sidebar “update” with 2.5 STINKS, people. It keeps deleting my sidebar widgets. I’ve lost the codes for all my affiliates. It will take me ALL AFTERNOON to relocate them. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Hubby used to work in insurance. What a crappy job. Ever see The Incredibles?! Just like that, it was. Yeah. Real lousy. Makes you want to quit the industry and become a dead-beat superhero. Yep.

Well, when Hubby worked in insurance, Middle Management had these “motivational” posters everywhere. I mean, everywhere. At the water cooler, around ever corner, in the bathroom stalls. For some odd reason, those motivational posters just didn’t work very well. Maybe if the company cleaned up their scheistering ways and maybe paid the CEOs a million less and paid the slave-level agents a couple bucks more, that might have been more motivating? I like a poster as much as any gal, but hey, ya gotta buy groceries and posters don’t buy the groceries.

Well, Hubby found these great posters a few months ago. Found these at Despair.com. Real gems.

flattery

achievement

meetings

sacrificet

mistakes

I bought him the pyramids one for his birthday. He hasn’t framed it yet. Isn’t “motivated” enough, I guess. Probably needs more posters.

My favorite is “Mistakes” and “Sacrifice.” These are the posters that should be hanging in corporations’ halls. Because that’s what they REALLY mean to say.

I was in the kitchen the other night, washing the dinner dishes while Hubby surfed YouTube videos. He hollered for me to come here and see this:

The Leaning Tower of Pisa toppled during an earthquake?! I watched the 20 second video with great incredulity. I remarked, “This wasn’t on Drudge?!” (in reference to my complaint that Drudge Report has all the stupid celebrity news but rarely has the meaningful stuff anymore).

Anyway…. I looked things up and it looks like it was hoax. Anyone know about it? I could not find any mention of the Tower falling from an earthquake! I think it’s a hoax. LOL. It’s also weird that the video never shows the actual crash, just the tower jiggling.

Creeps.

I can’t believe it. I am NOT a big “oldies” fan, OK? But I came across this blog with Rick Astley and nostalgia-fever hit me, baby! This was a big hit when I was in high school. Wow. Get a load of those clothes. Talking ’bout the 80’s!
