Big “to do” about EntreCard is becoming tiresome. Frankly, I don’t care what ads they place, or how much they charge. I’ve never imposed any restrictions on the ads. For EntreCard to remain in business they have to make money. So be it. Too many bloggers have been spoiled by free stuff, and then they get all “uppity” when the time comes for an online service to make money or go away. If EC goes away, there will always be something new.

I’ve ridden out the EC waves too, but wow, things are really getting to the bottom of the barrel now. I had hope these new owners would pull things together, and at first it seemed like they were on the right track, but this latest move may drive away every last good blog that’s hung on. The thing I can’t understand is why neither Graham or these new people will consider the double widget – something people have been bringing up over and over again. Seems like a lot of people could deal with that compromise (paid ad on one side, EC credit ad on the other). Well I have a wait and see attitude as well. I might look into Agitize – seems like a lot of people are saying good things about that service, but I’m worried about the cost. Well, rest assured, I’ll keep visiting here for sure widget or not.

I agree with you about Entrecard. I’ve decided to hang in too just for the traffic it generates. I really don’t think the advertising will be anything objectionable, but if it is, then I’ll just move the EC card down farther. No big deal to me.

eclaires do sound yummy. I hear ya about the EC thing. I’m just planning on sticking it out and seeing what happens.
