I never realized this product had been out for so long. I just bought 1 last night because it was on sale, I had a coupon, I got an employee discount, and I got a $2 register reward! God, I love working at Walgreens! Anyways, I love green tea citrus scent. I live in a 1 bedroom apt with my dog and 16 mo old and the whole apt smells great now! I was thinking the base only lights up because I don’t see anywhere on the package of it dispensing the scent, so I was just told a friend of mine to just buy the shades and put a flameless votive or tealight in the middle.

I’m telling you, we have some great scents and something for everyone. They are not over-powering, etc. If you have questions, please email me, but check out my page. You can view the catalog. It’s very affordable compared to other items out there. I love it and would never burn another candle again. Not to mention, I want more scent options than the Febreeze luminary allows.

Did you try a short soak to see if some of the scent could be removed from the shade? I’d like to use one of these in the bathroom because it doesn’t have a vent fan or window and it scents tend to linger and also it would double as a night light.

Can I just tell you that if you remotely like those, you would love Scentsy Wickless Candles! There are over 80 scents to choose from, so you are sure to get the one you want. You should at least take a look and let me know if you are interested. They are flameless/wickless/soot free!! The full-size warmers run off of a 25w bulb, the mid-size on a 20w bulb, and the plug-in on a 15w bulb. This means that it never gets hot enough to burn you. Your cat can even play with the wax in the top and will be just fine! ;-) Anyhow, let me know what you think!! If you have any questions, I would love to answer them for you!!

Thanks for the honest review. I do like Febreze products and had not heard about the flameless luminary line. I had been wondering about flameless candles because I’m always in fear I’ll forget to blow the candles out at night. The luminary looks beautiful on the shelf but like you I wouldn’t like overpowering scents.
Reviews of products can be so helpful and I’m glad you choose to do them.

I don’t blame you for not liking the scent. We got some of those Glade Flameless Candles that are similar to the Febreze. The things stunk so bad. :pinch: The scent was so overpowering that you had to shut them off shortly after turning them on. They had a strange orange glow that was supposed to look like a candle. I’d rather have the real candles with the real scents. :wubs:
