I have learned my lesson. I never, never, never buy anything online without checking for coupon codes, promo codes, and discount codes first. I never used to do it (laziness) but then I realized that my laziness was keeping me from saving our hard-earned cash! So I have a folder of bookmarks of websites that have coupons and promo codes. And here’s another to add: Coupon Ninja. This has stuff from “name brand” stores like Papa Joe’s, Target, Old Navy, HP, OfficeMax, WalMart, and HobbyTron! Because we homeschool, we absolutely love HobbyTron. (HobbyTron has a neat gel ant farm on sale for $20, and Coupon Ninja has a 15% off coupon code!). Coupon Ninja has 872 coupons for educational-based shops! This is a good site to bookmark, frugal moms!

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

I try to do the same thing. I also have a separate email addy for “junk mail” so that I can sign up at product websites (like Proctor & Gamble, Arm & Hammer, Betty Crocker, etc. etc.) and yes they send newsletter and other crap, but sometimes they send coupons and codes as well. I even won an ice cream party for my neighborhood from Edy’s last year ’cause I signed up at their website and I found about about their contest via and email they sent. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to try to do all this saving though, doesn’t it? :-)

I do the same thing, Carole! And, yep, I agree– it IS a lot of work. That’s why being a wife and mom is “full time,” lol!
