I’m lonesome. The house is empty, except for my cockatiel bird, and even he is strangely quiet tonight. Usually the house is filled with all six of us running around, but the kids are at a neighbor’s, helping them with odd jobs, and husband is at our church mowing the lawn. So I am all by myself. Alone. I don’t think I’ve been alone in the house in a very long time. It’s strange! I miss everyone. lol What will become of me when we reach the “empty nest” stage?!?!

  1. I love the doggie..so cute but sad eyes…:D

I guess my parents feel this way too..sometimes when they don’t see my siblings and I that often.

  2. Quiet feels strange? Oh, I so love the quiet! But, what I’ve done to fill my home is by animals galore. I have a horse, dogs, cats and they all keep me company. I’m not sure how your cockatiel would feel about the cats though…

  3. Your sanity will return. I have 9, with a 10th on the way in Late July.

    S&T’d…

  4. Hullo, an evocative post! But I don’t know about the doggie looking ’sad-eyed’: Don’t you think he looks rather hurt and resentful?

  5. It is rare that I like to be alone. Maybe in the mornings when I would like to sleep in an extra 30 minutes.

Hope your lonely evening passed quickly for you.

  6. They did come back, lol. LATE! It was a miserable evening. But I survived. :D Thanks for keeping me company. :)

  7. Staying alone doesn’t mean being lonely. Sometimes it is good to stay on our own to relax and think over. Almost all children love their parents and take care of them. So do need to worry.
