I discovered today that I have a very high credit score: 760! The lady who told me this said she was very impressed. “The highest score is an 850, and I’ve never seen one in the 800s, even! Congratulations!”
I, on the other hand, was not too pleased. Because what IS a credit score, anyway? Only that you have a lot of debt, right? Well, you also have to PAY it off, which attributes to the score, yes… but it’s STILL debt. So translated, what is a high credit score? “CONGRATULATIONS!! We Bankers have given you an exponentially high score so that we can loan you more money!!”
Oh, goody. :hmph:
Anyway, I’m negotiating for a better APR than I have… WHAT a onerous chore in futility. WOW. It’s a great time to be a banker, isn’t it? Cuz not only do you get billions in public “bailout” money, you get to expunge the average, over-taxed, struggling American for more and more of their money, and make you think it’s a good thing!
ANYWAY. On a more happy note, I snapped a photo of my darling kitty, Livvy. That gal SUUUUURE can relax, can’t she? Oh course she can! She didn’t have anything to do with bailing out crooked politicians and bankers! She has the easy life! ….. that, and a heating pad. ;)

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

I agree 100% and it is driving me crazy! After being a loyal customer, paying on time, never complaining, they repay us by raising our interest rates and charging higher fees. It’s all driving me crazy and I only wish I could sleep like Livvy!

Cats always have a calming effect on me. Melissa Gilbert said in her autobiography (Prairie Tales) that in a second life she’d like to come back as a fat, lazy house cat.

That cat does look very relaxed!
I’m so tired of banks and raising their rates. Really all it does is make people who can’t afford to pay things pay more because they find some way to charge a fee if your payment post even 2 seconds late.
Something more needs to change.

Now I want to be a cat. Surely only a cat can relax that completely and totally. Oh and I love your LOLcat caption. It’s purrfect!
