This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Aloe Cadabra. All opinions are 100% mine.
I recently discussed my problem with my current hand lotion– it’s “ok” stuff, not the greatest, and my cat likes to eat it, which is not healthy for her. I tried some store-brand aloe vera gel, which is disgusting– it rubs on like green plastic and it’s sticky.
A few days later, I was asked by a company if I would like to review some eco-friendly and non-toxic lotion. It’s Aloe Cadabra, made by the folks at Seven Oaks Farm in Ventura, California. Their website sells a ton of natural products such as soap nuts for the laundry (looks cool), organic hand and body lotion, organic soap-free cleanser, organic seasonings (garlic, coconut oil, etc), various scented lotions for feminine use, natural jewelry, and cute aromatic tummy wraps for colicky babies. I was sent the Lubricant Magical Gel to review. Well, it’s no surprise that as our bodies age, we lose a lot of that natural lubricant, inside and out. And I didn’t take care of myself very well as a young person, plus I was on some pretty wacky medication for spinal pain for a few years (thank God that’s over).
I got three bottles in the mail today. I’m using it as a light hand lotion right now– it’s incredibly soft and not greasy at all! The Aloe Cadabra gel is 95% aloe vera, it’s non-toxic, food-grade lotion. It’s marketed for intimate use, but it can serve as very nice skin lotion, as well.
I received three bottles in three scents: Natural Aloe, French Lavender, and Tahitian Vanilla. The Natural Aloe has almost no smell. The French Lavender smells just like lavender- it has that slightly sharp smell that real lavender has (the French Lavender gel has REAL lavender oil in it). The Tahitian Vanilla I like the least. The smell isn’t terribly strong, but it’s just not as pleasant as the other two. I also noticed that the smell fades after a few moments, which I appreciate.
The Aloe Cadabra gel has NO petroleum, NO synthetics. It’s 100% organic and natural, and it won’t harm the environment nor living things. I love it for that reason. I may check out the soap nuts for laundry, it sounds intriguing! If you are interested in ordering something from the company, you can get 20% off your first order by using the coupon code Save20.

wow, love the site! Funny thing…I’ve been looking for a “personal lubricant” that’s chemical-free and couldn’t find one, so I really appreciate finding this site, THANKS!!

I sometimes use pure aloe in place of hair gel. I don’t like a stiff hold, but sometimes my hair needs a little more body and better behavior (I actually have a lot of hair, but it’s thin, and usually has a bad attitude). Commercial gels – of all sorts – are too heavy and stiff. Aloe is great, esp, if there is no alcohol.

Much as I just loved butter, thinking of the unhappy state of cows and milk production, I switched to top quality coconut oil. It worked ! I love it even more. Well-informed-sources (dot) com- The best info on the benefits of coconut oil on the Internet
