It’s a perfect day to bake bread, which I am doing today.
It started out as a gloomy day with a lot of cloud cover, and then, around 3pm, little flurries burst out of the air. They just got bigger and bigger, until there were clumps of wet snow everywhere. It’s always so very pretty… until January. Then it gets old REALLY fast.

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

It looks so beautiful. Us southern gals love it but we never get enough of it. Send some our way.

Gorgeous photos! We had our first big snow yesterday too, just in time for my oldest son’s birthday. The boys had such a good time playing in it.

Snow on trees! My favorite!! I haven’t been in snow in years (early 2007 – ok, not too long… and I remember being miserably cold due to lack of proper winter wear, but still…) We might get some this year and the kids are very excited.
