My daughter made her first pie yesterday, so I thought I’d brag. It’s black raspberry pie– YUM! The kids picked berries like maniacs this year. We have a blooming berry patch.

The crust is a pre-made one, so we cheated a little. But I’ve been baking pies for years and they don’t look this good. We went easy on the sugar, and added extra berries to the mix. It turned out beautifully!

Tell your daughter that her pie looks delicious. We love apple pie and have made a few from our apple tree at our cabin…until this summer we had no apples…now I know why…tell your daughter to look at the pics on my blog…she will see a real life Rudolph ruining my apple crop! Berries have bunnies and apples have elk!
Cheers

I’ve got the coffeepot on! How I wish I could transmit you all through the Internet to have some with me!
The pie was very good. We have picked enough berries to make another one. :D

That looks absolutely delicious! She can make me a pie any day! I always use pre-made crusts, they taste good and are way easier! :-D
