Freaky

This is a stunning video of the Northern Lights in Northern Michigan, November 14th. So beautiful! Did anyone see anything like this?

Our local pro photographers (very well known) Todd and Brad Reed have been posting NL pics they took over Hamlin Lake in my home county. I haven’t seen any at my house about 10 miles away. People have been driving to Hamlin Lake on the nights they are predicted since that seems to be the place to see them this year- better even than over Lake Michigan. The guys are working on a book, Tuesdays with Todd and Brad, and I think they’ve said that two of their NL pix were on Tuesdays so they can include them.

I didn’t catch them this time. The photographer is from up Traverse City way, which about 200 miles north of where I live. I’ve seen them many times. Perhaps the most spectacular display was in the fall of 1957. Sylvia and I had recently met and were dating. Back then, it was the only time that the NL were reported to have been seen as far south as Florida!

Hi Jody, I liked this video. Yes, we saw them when we were in Alaska on a cruisetour. The people at the cabins took numbers to call if the Northern lights were starting. A bunch of us were out in our jammies watching They are soooo pretty but don’t appear as far south as Texas (yet, they are moving south with Global Warming).

Thank you for peeking in my micro story for Silly Sunday and for your nice comment. I will probably remember this post for a while.
