Can this cat relax, or WHAT?!?!

I wish I could sleep as well as she can. She’s out like a light, beside me on the couch.

We’ve had a bat in the house, sneaking around. Can’t quite find it yet, but it comes out at night and Livvy the Cat watches it all night. Photobucket I am horrified of bats, I HATE HATE HATE them. Because we have an old house with holes in the walls (I’m still in the process of rewiring the place), the bats come straight down from the attic. IT IS AWFUL! So yesterday, we went through the house, stuffing plastic shopping bags in as many holes as I could find. All that work didn’t do much to assuage my fears about them– I had terrible nightmares about millions of bats all over the house. :S So I’m quite jealous of Livvy’s deep snoozing.

In other cat news, I had to take my oldest kitty, Milo, to the vet today, for emergency care. My poor baby.

Milo

One vet had said Milo has allergies, and suggested we give him Benadryl. Hasn’t worked at all. So I took him to a cat specialist vet and she says his problem is probably a bad tooth (?!). Whatever it is, Milo’s eye is bothering him again, and he’s scratching at his cheek enough to tear into it. 🙁 He’s doing better today– he’s on antibiotics and I have to apply eye salve in his eye a few times a day. He’s a good kitty, but he’s old and grouchy, and doesn’t see any benefit to all this medical attention… plus, he is officially locked in the garage and cannot go outside until his wound is healed, which makes him even grouchier…. durn cat! He should stay outta trouble! Oh well.. he’s 12 years old now, a great cat. But we fear that his Happy Hunting Ground trip may be coming up soon. 🙁

Okay, I’m convinced that Livvy and our dog Plinko are somehow related! I just took photos, less than an hour ago, of Plinko sleeping in those exact same positions, on our sofa, with a red blanket!
I hope you can get to the bottom of what’s wrong with Milo. I always wish our pets could speak and just tell us what the problem is, poor baby!

I’ve always thought she was a very pretty girl, and she still is.

When my brother was in college he lived in a big old house that had a bat problem. He and his roommates used to keep tennis rackets handy to swat at them when they’d find their way into their apt. Hope the bat leaves or Livvy gets him! I don’t blame you for freaking out over it.

Hope Milo is doing better. Cats sure aren’t usually the best patients. 🙁 He’s a handsome fellow though!

What a cute kitty! Wish I could snooze like that! It sure looks cozy!!

My cat right now is laying in that lazy cat position! She found one small spot of sun and is very happy right now.

I hope your other cat is feeling better. My cat also has allergies, but nothing seems to help her either.

I’m so sorry that your kitty is having all these problems, I can’t imagine how uncomfortable he is.
My son has a bulldog that has allergies up the wingwang yet is so big and burley that he can’t even reach his itches, it’s sad.

Sad about Milo and I’d be freaking out too if bats were flying around in my house! Yuck!!!! Cats are masters at both stretching and relaxing. I relax too just watching them.

I can tell Livy is in total relax…
    She has grown so much!
My Atos never came back 🙁
Hope Milo gets better, maybe the antibiotic works.
A good week ahead, hugs, Mizé
