Figure out what you <i>know</i> and find some local publications that focus on that. For example, I made some great money for a time doing freelance articles for a trucking magazine. I wrote about trucking extensively as a business reporter, so I had the skills to land a couple of gigs. You can make a few hundred bucks here and there that way. Give it a shot! You're a good writer, so find a way to market that skill. Just stay away from real estate in Arkansas. That one's all mine ;) Well, starting down that freelancing path can be easy enough.
