Meet Me on Monday #39

March 20, 2011

Are you ready, folks?! Monday hits the Northern Hemisphere once again! And this time, it’s a little different– SPRING is upon us! Sunday night at 7:20pm or so, to be exact. :smarty: And I am so glad to see it come.

1. What jewelry do you wear 24/7?
None! Not even my wedding ring. Sad, I know.

I got “out” of wearing jewelry after the children were born. I loved pendant earrings and necklaces as a young lady, and wore them all the time. But the babies loved them, too. After my earlobes were nearly yanked off a few times, I decided to give the jewelry a rest. I was never much for rings (I work with my hands, and was always concerned that the rings would fall off). I wore my wedding band religiously up until about 6 years ago. I developed a tiny cyst on my finger RIGHT where the band rests on my finger. It bothered me like crazy, so I keep the ring in my jewelry box.

2. Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it?
I’m a twirler. I grew up in an Italian family– you betcha I twirl. Yep– the Dorothy Hamill of spaghetti eaters, that’s me.

3. How many siblings do you have?
Ohhhh…. you want the whole, the half, or the step. Maybe the step-step-step?

Total: 7
Full blood: 1
Half: 2

Broken families are kinda complicated.

4. Were you named after anyone?
Yeah. My great-grandma. 🙂

5. Coke or Pepsi?
Neither. I don’t drink soda. Never was much of a soda drinker. I will, on rare occasion, drink ginger ale, but that’s about it.

Well, it’s short and sweet today. 🙂 My blogging has been a little lame because… well, because I am overwhelmed with work! I haven’t met my quota for my writing jobs… and with spring starting all the chores have crept upon me. Wah wah, lol. I’ll get over it! But I’m sorry that my posts have been a little dry. Leave some amazing comments so I can be inspired.

Have a great Monday.

My dad never wore a wedding ring either, probably for the same reason. I wear two rings and a pin now and then that I keep on my blazers. Never was big on jewelry. I decided to try to take the one ring off but can’t get them passed my big knuckle! Oops. I too am a spaghetti twirler and don’t drink pop often although I prefer Pepsi over Coke. I am an only child but did grow up with a foster brother and two foster sisters who were placed long-term.

It actually annoys me when I don’t have my jewelry on for whatever reason and I consider watches jewelry and mines been broken for ages and I still flip my wrist up (I wear my watches on the underside of my wrist) looking for the time. :/

You hit the nail right on the head about complicated broken families. Mine is even worse!

  5. Katie Says:

My ex-husband started to stop wearing his wedding ring sooner than the divorce talk. Not anything bad though, he’s a volunteer firefighter and lost it once walking around a fire scene. They found it but after that he stopped wearing it.

I’m you’re newest follower and hopping over from Meet me on Monday.
