Because I work from home, I maintain a weird schedule. I often work during the evening hours, Mondays, and weekends. This past week, however, I have been completely lazy. And I’m making it an extended weekend by not working today, either. I have 9 articles awaiting me in my queue, yes, but I’m going to do the old procrastination dance and do them at the last minute– tomorrow. :-p Seeing it takes me about an hour to write one article, I’ll be a busy bee tomorrow. Whatever.
Well, I haven’t been COMPLETELY lazy this week. I washed every scrap pf laundry in the house (that’s a lot with 6 people, 2 dogs, and 2 cats), cooked a few dinners, and spend countless hours rebuilding my travel blog with a new theme. I just didn’t do any “work” work (i.e., stuff I get money for).
Today, I just want to toodle with gadgets. I haven’t done it in a long time, and I think I may try to figure out how to install a Bluetooth-enabled gadget to my computer and how to rig up my cell phone so I can hear calls through the car speakers….
But first, there’s the Monday meme. Can’t miss this! So without further adieu….
1. What is your favorite movie quote or song lyric of all time?
Oh my gosh. I have no idea. I like to many different things. Maybe… maybe, if I had to boil it down into one small scrap, I’d choose this:
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God’s truth abideth still —
His kingdom is forever.
It’s from Martin Luther’s A Mighty Fortress Is our God.
2. If you had to choose a novel for a book club to read and discuss, which one would you pick?
A novel? Hmmm…. maybe “The Hunger Games” because it’s a great study in apocalyptic America and social groups after catastrophe…
3. When was the last time you danced? What brought you to it?
In church. This. You tell me you can sit still hearing this. Impossible. 🙂
4. Do you typically remember your dreams?
I don’t know, because I don’t quite know what I remember and what I don’t remember. I’m asleep! *snort* OK, enough snarkiness. I guess I’d say I probably don’t remember most of them. But that’s guessing. 😉
Now it’s my turn to ask you a question!
Do you have a favorite computer mouse, or type of mouse?
I am a mouse-a-holic. My favorite is the Microsoft Wireless 4000, but they don’t last very long. I burn through half a dozen a year. I recently got the Apple Magic Mouse (it has no scroll wheel) and I’m going to try to install a hack to make the mouse work on a Windows PC. Because I am at the computer all day (when I’m not lazing around!), I’m VERY fussy about my keyboards and mouses. The best, I think, are the Apple products. I just wish the software features worked with PCs!
Have a good week, friends. If you’ll excuse me, I have some serious slouching to do.
