Monday Quiz Time

February 4, 2013

This is a cute meme with good questions. Play along!

Acting Balanced

This week’s questions:

1. Are you good about going to the doctor?
Gosh, no. I avoid them, actually. Now that I am older, I do realize that their education and their information can be very helpful (when I have found a good one). Overall, I’m a “DIY” kinda girl.
2. What do you think about the practice of restaurants adding automatic tips for large groups or specific events?
My husband used to work in banquet halls. The auto-tip policy ensures that the servers — who work very hard for pittance — get a little boost with the tips. In case you didn’t know: most servers have to share their tips with the busboy at the end of the day.

3. When was the last time you went out for dinner?
A looooong time ago. Months. Maybe 7, 8, 12 months. I doubt I’ll be going out any time soon, because I am rigidly cutting out fats, pastas, sugars and other gunk from my diet. And it’s just no fun to go to an Italian restaurant to eat a little salad while everyone else is feasting on veal parmigiana or fried fish.
4. What is your best budget saving tip for recovering from an unexpected expense or planning for one?
Set aside a tiny bit of money from each paycheck, even if you can only save $1. Over time, it will add up, and something saved is better than nothing saved.

Now it’s time for my question!

What is your least favorite vegetable? Yes, you can only choose one!

For me, it’s probably lima beans. The mere thought of them makes me shudder. :ik:

Cooked cabbage is my least favourite vegetable.

  2. Wayne Says:

I am not a fan of radishes. Too spicy for me. Thanks for joining in on the MQAM. Look forward to seeing you again next week.

  3. Karen Says:

I am having a hard time thinking of a vegetable that I don’t like. I’m going to say canned peas because I like fresh or frozen ones!

  4. blueyes Says:

I cannot stand the texture of celery. The strings are what I despise and the taste isn’t all that great either. I will suffer through it with some peanut butter or ranch dressing when they come with the wings.

  5. Lin Says:

    Peas. I don’t like peas.

We just went out for dinner the other night and it cost us nearly nothing now that both kids aren’t with us. We both had soup and we laughed because it felt like we were 8000 years old!
