Pornography has had an extremely detrimental effect on society. It’s also disgusting. I’ve raised my kids to reject it, so we don’t have it on our computers. But I’m always afraid they will accidentally come across it on the web, so I have a filter installed. It’s a pretty good filter (and a free one!). But did you know that even a filter won’t prevent porn being downloaded on your computer, if someone is actively seeking it and downloading it? I pray my kids’ friends and their cousins would never do anything like that. Besides me strangling them for such sickening behavior, the only recourse we have is to get porn detection software like SurfRecon. SurfRecon is a handy little USB device that you plug in to the computer. It will scan the computer for porn files, even files that have been hidden.
Pornography is a known component in the destruction of the family. Of course, nothing beats godliness and pure communication in a home. But if you need a tool to check your computers, check out SurfRecon.

The “destruction” of most families has nothing to do with pornography. The “strangling” (violence) that you seem fond of has a lot more to do with families falling apart.
You can raise your kids any way you want, but if you have boys they are likely to become curious about such things when they reach a certain age.
Same for their friends and cousins. Like it or not, porn related stuff is the most searched for thing on the net.
I’m not defending it and don’t care about it myself. The point is you are living in a dream world if you think everyone that you are associated with is never going to look at it.

Porn does not equal sex–that is a normal, healthy, stable, relationship. It is a gross distortion of it and can completely confuse and even destroy your children if you allow them to be exposed to it. If you think you can stick your head in the sand and not worry about whether your kids are accessing porn or not, you are playing a very dangerous game.
An evaluation copy of the software can be downloaded for free from the surfrecon website.

I am also a mom and completely agree with these statements - for any person not mature enough to handle porn appropriately. I am a neutral person with the exception that I am a parent and where my neutrality stops is when it is with them. They are still little, but even for older kids, it is not appropriate since they are not yet mature enough to handle it properly.
Everyone has a right to do almost anything they please with the exception of the obvious, (i.e. murder, rape, etc.). It individual and his/her maturity level that is the major factor. Most people honestly are not mature enough to handle it.
