I was visiting a friend’s blog and perused her little buttons and links in the sidebars. I am trying to join some of the “mom blog” networks. I clicked on the “Mom Blog” network button and was totally shocked to read profanity and filth as the number one blog on the network. Whoa! Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I just don’t think moms should be dropping f-bombs and cussing like a sailor.

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Ahh I hear you… this has often shocked me as well, although not on the same directory

OK, so I agree…potty mouth does not look good on Mommy. But as soon as I read your blog I went to look for the dirty blog. Maybe that is how it’s number one!

Number one, big deal.
And what’s the difference? You read my blog as well as Ms. Potty Mouth. Do her hits magically double? As far as I can see it, we both got a hit. And I retain my respectability.
