It’s August, so you teenagers and parents of teenagers know what that means– dumping tons of TIME and MONEY into college and college preparations! Sooo exciting! I have two kids who are finishing up their high school education, and I’m quaking in my boots for that “college” time, because: I will miss them terribly; I will miss my money terribly.
Well, there IS some good news in all of this, news that I hope will help you when your times come: Sears has a nifty online website to help you get CampusReady.
Basically, the CampusReady site helps moms, dads, and kids with these:
- Has financial planning tips
- A complete shopping checklist, including apparel, dorm room products, everything your child will need, etc.
- Links to different kinds and categories of clothing and footwear your child will need
- Offers a classy visual view of various dorm room styles, and accessories needed to make your child feel “at home”
- Get a “Reloadable Sears Gift Card” for your child to purchase other items he/she may need for the future
- and more!
There’s even a great website– CampusReady on Facebook– for the teens and Facebook-savvy parents to peruse. I did– I loved the Dorm Room Designer feature. Almost makes ME want to go back to college! :D
Also, there’s a terrific contest from Sears and Upromise– up to $25,000 in prizes is being given away to go toward your child’s education! There is no purchase necessary to win. Be sure to see the CampusReady website for details on that.
Check out the websites, I think they are cool! And even if you don’t have a kid going to college just yet, you can check out the nice dorm room decor and home products for their bedroom or your own home design. You can count on Sears to make it all so easy.
