Stealing a Meme

Blabber, Fun

I saw this meme at Ann’s Snap Edit & Scrap. It looked like fun, and I like memes like these because you can be so whimsical. It’s supposed to be 33 questions, but I posted the ones I was interested in. And had answers to! So here’s a fun little diversion for a Friday…

What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
Um. My fingernail. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Where was your profile picture taken?
Thank God for Bill Watterson: my profile pic for this blog is the Mom from Calvin & Hobbes comic. My profile for my travel blog (Mrs. Mecomber) is an old photo of my great-great aunt.

Can you play Guitar Hero?
Why waste electricity when you can play the real thing? :grinny:

Name someone who made you laugh today.
This blogger with the video. Stellar!!!

How late did you stay up last night and why?
I went early, at around 12:30am! I usually stay up later and work on my writing assignments after everyone has gone to bed. It’s quiet then, and I can have logical, linear thoughts with no interruptions all night long if I want!! But we moved furniture around and cleaned the house, so I was tired. I fell asleep reading a cool book, Mazzaroth.

If you could move somewhere else where would you and why?
Besides the lousy excessive taxes and corruption in government here, I’m pretty happy in New York State. But I have dreams of living in Greece or New Zealand, on the coast, mmm. Lord, if it be Your will, I’d like to see those places before I die!

Do you like Dr. Pepper?
No. I’m a hard-core coffee drinker with cream and sugar drinker. I also like iced tea and plain hot tea, but hate sugar or milk in them. Weird, huh?

Say you were given a drug test right now, would you pass?
I’m clean as a whistle. Except for the exponentially massive doses of caffeine that would make a normal person’s eyeballs pop out.

When was the last time you cried really hard?
Watching “Faith Like Potatoes.” And when I diced an onion and forgot to do it under cold water, blast it! My mascara is waterproof but not my foundation. Oh well, I hope no one noticed the clam chowder tinged with Maybelline, haha!

Who was the last person you took a picture of?
My boys, raking the yard. For posterity. lol

Was yesterday better than today? Why?
Yes. Everyday gets better and better, brighter than the full day!

Can you live a day without TV?
I can live my whole life without the Boob Tube!

Are you upset about anything now?
Well, I’m hungry and so are the kids and I don’t feel like cooking….

Are you a bad influence?
I’ve burned my scrambled eggs from time to time.. and I can yell pretty loudly… really, what kind of a question is this? Is anyone really going to say “yes”? We have all been a bad influence from time to time. The point is, are we a continual bad influence? I pray to God the answer is “no”!

Night out or night in?
IN.

What items could you not go without during the day?
Well, I really COULD go without everything, after all I came in to the world that way! But the things that I’d LIKE not to go without are my Bible with all my scribbled notes, and my computer. And Internet service. And my COFFEE. With coffee cup, preferably.

Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
My friend, who had just had her baby. Gosh that was years ago! Can’t say I’m very fond of hospitals…

What does the last text message in your inbox say?
I don’t use text messaging with my cell phone. I’m old-fashioned– I use email! ๐Ÿ˜€

How do you feel about your life right now?
Great! I think of “today” like the words of that old song: Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow… blessings all mine and ten thousand beside… Great is Thy faithfulness…

Do you hate anyone?
Nope. I just hate the things that people do sometimes.

If we were to look in your Facebook inbox, what would we find?
Hardly anything. I’m not a Facebook fan. I’m having trouble finding time and energy for Twitter!

Has anyone ever called you perfect before?
No one who has ever really known me! Although, I AM working on it (“And let patient endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:4)

What song is stuck in your head?
Well, earlier it was a Newsboys song, but now it’s that song my husband wrote about being “perfect and complete” based on James 1:4!

Someone knocks on your window at 2 a.m., whom do you want it to be?
Jesus, calling me home. If it’s anyone else, they’re in BIIIIG trouble.

Do you (or did you) want to have grandkids before youโ€™re 50?
No.

Tell us your Saturday night.
The kids and I gather in the living room to read the Bible and portions from another book or two. Right now we are reading Charles Finney’s “Experiencing the Presence of God” and a good book by John Sherrill, “They Speak in Other Tongues.”

Do you think too much or too little?
WAAAY too much. But you all knew that. :grinny:

Do you smile a lot?
Mmmhmmm.

Well, that was kinda fun! Feel free to steal this for yourself and blabber on like I did! Happy weekend, everyone!

I could never think clearly that late at night. If 12:30 a.m. is an early bedtime for you, how late to you usually stay up?

Ann- that’s funny! It’s a cute meme, asking good questions that are flexible. I like that.

Karen- these days, I usually get to bed around 1:30 or 2am. I much prefer early to bed, early to rise, but for now, this is my schedule.
