ROFL! I saw this and bust out laughing! Until now, I have never spit out coffee while laughing… not until I saw this. that is.

I hate to say it but… I was one of those kids! LOL! I loved my cats, yes, I did! I cuddled and coddled them and had them for tea with my stuffed animals. But my cats were extremely tolerant. Kinda like this one, ROFL!

Kittens are SO gullible, lol. I sometimes have a difficult time restraining myself from having too much fun with my kitty, Olivia. I don’t want to frustrate her and spoil her sweet temperament. But, boy, she is so funny and such a little tease!

She likes to look out the window but can’t seem to get it through her 2-month old peanut brain that you can’t walk through glass, love. But she insists on trying, again and again. Talk about a hard head, lol!

And she’s so clumsy. Are cats with six toes clumsy or is it just my cat? She teeters, she totters, she comes crashing down and spinning like a striken airplane bomber. By the way, I’d like to dispense with that old wives’ tale that says cats always land on their feet. Er, should I say, Olivia dispenses with it. Stupid gravity. lol. She likes my computer keyboard, too. Maybe I make it look like so much fun? But one of her favorite hobbies is playing keylogger. She’s deleted a few emails with her keyboard trailblazing. So if I haven’t replied back to you, that’s why. sigh.

During one of her funny antics, I managed to grab the camera and shoot a short video. Here she is discovering the wonders of the top section of her new kitty-litter box, complete with flap. She’s too tiny to use this top part of the pan yet (we’re just using the bottom for now), but I’m encouraging her to explore the top of it for the big graduation day. Until then, we are hourly sweeping up mounds of kitty litter all over the floor. She seems to like to toss it around after her toilette.

I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT. Leave it to a couple of engineers to show me all about the Proper Guide to Nourishing and Raising Your Cat. This video is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! Make sure you have a few spare moments to watch the whole thing. Wow, I just, like, NEVER knew!

P.S. Here’s a gratuituous photo of my precious baby. She is growing SO fast! I think I am spoiling her. :S

The neatest thing happened to me over the weekend. As some of you know, I got my little half-Siamese kitten Thursday. It was a bit of a surprise– earlier this week, a friend had directed me to a classified ad advertising some kittens. The next thing I know, I’m driving out on Thursday to pick up my kitten. She’s a lovely little thing; we’ve named her Olivia (Livvy, for short).

Well, today the FedEx man walked up to my door and dropped off a box. Guess what it was? A brand new cat carrier! With a few bottles of Febreze samples! And one of them is the new Febreze Air Effects Pet Odor Eliminator! I flipped! It’s pretty obvious that Livvy loves her new carrier, too.

Livvy and Carrier2

Livvy in Carrier1

This package was PERFECT timing! And I think that the Febreze Pet Odor Eliminator is going to be my new best friend, and an important piece of equipment along with the pooper-scooper and bag of catnip. :D I have a very sensitive nose and the smell of cat litter makes it wrinkle. I am nuts about Febreze (I always get pre-owned furniture and it is always stinky– so I have loads of Febreze around the house) because it smells so good and works on fabrics (Lysol makes me gag, ick). The pet odor eliminator has a really fresh scent and it won’t make Livvy’s little nose curl, either. One pump on the nozzle and you’re good. It’s a great product.

The Febreze To Go is a new product in the line of Febreze stuff. I keep it in my minivan. My husband is a mailman and uses our van to deliver mail, so… during the summer the van gets REALLY stinky (sorry, honey). I like this little bottle because now I can tuck it in the glovebox instead of having that big bottle of Febreze that rolls and clunks around inside the van while we drive.

So if you have a cat or a dog or a sweaty husband (hee), you might want to give Febreze a try. It has helped me out of the stinkiest situations. And now that I have an indoor cat with a litter box in the house, I’m sure it will be worth its weight in gold. :D

Here she is! My new baby! Her name is Olivia and she is 8 weeks old. She is so adorable that I can’t stand it! She’s half-Siamese. I used to have a half-Siamese calico cat and loved her, so I’ve been looking for another half-Siamese. And here she is!

She’s a little camera shy. lol

Livvy Camera Shy

Here she is. It’s so hard to photograph a kitten!

Olivia the Cat

I gave her some roast beef broth and she brightened right up for the camera.

Livvy Kitty

She has 6 toes and the sweetest temperament I’ve ever seen in a cat. She’s playful and very, very loving. Her previous “mommy” took good care of her. Whenever Olivia sees a human face, she runs right up and starts to nuzzle. Last night she slept with my daughter, curled up under her neck.

Olivia– or, Livvy, as we call her– was the runt of the litter. She’s a little skinny, but already she’s gaining weight. She’s slowly getting used to our big old farmhouse.

I’ll have more updates later. Right now I have to go nuzzle my little baby. :)

My daughter sent me an email with a link to a video, saying, “When you are in a ‘Cute Kitty Mood,’ watch this.” LOL, well, I am ALWAYS in a “Cute Kitty” mood. This is an adorable video. The music is really weird (what is that anyway?!) but the cat is so lovey!

My husband informed me that he is asking around for anyone who wants a kitten to go to a loving home (uh, that’s ME). I am so happy!!!! I just can’t wait to get my paws on a kitten again! After reading all those wonderful pet blogs like Luxor, Daisy, Chica & Pumuckl, I am desperate for another cat around the house. Probably the only downside to a housecat is the dreaded litter box. I have a horribly sensitive nose. So I’m doing some research on how to toilet train cats. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh here’s another short video I found. What a spastic cat! LOL!!! So that’s why laser lights were invented, eh?

Ok, enough fooling around for me. Time to balance the checkbook and mull over the deep science of life’s mysteries, like do acne treatments really work?

This video is old. I saw this eons ago, when we first got Internet service (2000). I think this was the first Internet video I saw, and it still makes me crack up!!! It was originally silent, but my kids added Marvin the Martian’s voice and a few sound effects.

The little black cat in the video is HILARIOUS!! I used to have a little kitty like that when I was a kid. What is it with girls dressing up cats and wheeling them around in a Bugaboo stroller? Cuz that’s what I did to that poor little cat, lol!

When I was in high school, there was a popular books called “100 Uses For a Dead Cat.” Some things were pretty funny, but it was a rather nasty book. This photo reminds me of it a little. How to tell if your shoes smell….

This may just constitute cruelty to animals…

how

Cats are good for more than just testing shoes. Here’s a true story, told to my husband by one of his co-workers.

This co-worker, Jake, has a cat. Every morning, the cat would bound into Jake’s bedroom to wake him up. Like a good cat, this cat would wake Jake up EARLY. Like, 4am! It’s a good thing that Jake needed to get up that early, to go to work; otherwise Jake wouldn’t have been so tolerant of this cat.

Anyway, one morning, Jake woke up later than usual. The cat had not woken him up that morning. Instead, Jake turned in bed to see the cat in his bed, peering down over his headboard, and staring at the wall behind. The cat was absolutely entranced with something behind the headboard. Jake sat up to see what the cat was staring at, but saw nothing.

The next morning, the exact same thing happened! Jake again peered down behind his headboard– maybe a mouse or a spider? He saw nothing.

The next morning– the same thing again! The cat was silent every time, but he was on the bed, paws on the headboard, peering down the wall behind. Jake was perplexed. He determined that when he returned from work later that day, he’d pull the bed away from the wall and see what the cat was staring at.

That evening, Jake moved the bed away from the wall and saw his electrical outlet receptacle. He got down on all fours to look closely. All around the receptacle slots were black scorch marks. Apparently, the outlet had shorted and was arcing. The cat had noticed the arcs! Jake said that his cat probably saved his life!

So, if you have a cat, count your blessings! They can test your shoes and watch your electrical system! Now if only they could help with weight loss programs!

ROFL! I’ve been a cat owner almost all my life. I LOVE cats, but they can drive me insane! Our kitty Fuzzy is nuts. This cat has shredded my wallpaper, climbed my curtains, and woken us all up at 3am with his noisy antics. We used to have him in the house, but he was banished after he attacked my cockatiel bird. The bird was in a cage, seven feet up hanging from the ceiling, but Fuzzy leaped onto the TOP of the cage! Out out out!

So when I found this video I cracked up. The cat is so cute, but… yeah, I know exactly what the guy means. lol
