There must be a baby boom or something! Am I missing something? (lol… NOT). A lot of my blogger friends are expecting babies! Hey ladies, you’ll be needing some maternity clothes soon, right? Check out this sweet little outfit. Cute, isn’t it? The stuff is pretty inexpensive, too– prices start as low as $9.99, and the inventory is rotated so there’s always a new selection to shop. The store also has great discounts on Junior and Junior-plus clothing! Use this coupon code for free shipping on orders over $75: freeship.

School is just about to start! The kids and I (mainly the kids, heh) have been cleaning the house and sorting through endless boxes of clothing, in preparation for winter. This time of year is also our traditional “shopping” time of year when I get them all geared up for their lessons. We use a combination of textbooks and computers for our homeschool. Paying for all the supplies ourselves can be SO expensive, so I’ve devised little ways to save money.
For one, with gas prices the way they are right now, I have been doing a lot of online shopping these days. It is so convenient, I don’t have to run out to the malls, and it helps to keep my husband’s job (he’s a delivery man). :D I have also learned to ALWAYS check for coupons and promo codes online. Never, never, never pay full price for anything without checking for online coupons! I have a special folder of bookmarks to check for deals; my favorite site is FindSavings.com. I find coupons for everything under the sun– AbeBooks and Scholastic for our textbooks (Scholastic currently has 20% off $49 purchase right now), Office Depot for our printer ink and office supplies (they do free delivery and are having a special $30 off your $150 purchase), Sears for clothing and household linens, and Tiger Direct for all the electronic doodads and batteries we need. Tiger Direct is one of my favorite electronics store because they are so inexpensive– with a coupon, the prices are almost criminal, they are so low.
So remember what the Freaky Frugalite says: NEVER buy anything online without checking for coupons and promo codes first! Why pay full price when you can save money??
I have learned my lesson. I never, never, never buy anything online without checking for coupon codes, promo codes, and discount codes first. I never used to do it (laziness) but then I realized that my laziness was keeping me from saving our hard-earned cash! So I have a folder of bookmarks of websites that have coupons and promo codes. And here’s another to add: Coupon Ninja. This has stuff from “name brand” stores like Papa Joe’s, Target, Old Navy, HP, OfficeMax, WalMart, and HobbyTron! Because we homeschool, we absolutely love HobbyTron. (HobbyTron has a neat gel ant farm on sale for $20, and Coupon Ninja has a 15% off coupon code!). Coupon Ninja has 872 coupons for educational-based shops! This is a good site to bookmark, frugal moms!
Wowee. Strollers have really evolved from when I was pushing my kid around almost 20 years ago! Take a look at this baby, will ya?

That’s the Mutsy Stroller. It looks simple, but that’s the beauty of the thing– it isn’t just a simple little stroller. It’s a combination bassinet, baby seat, and stroller. The Mutsy was designed and created by popular demand, by things we moms want in a stroller. When I had babies way back when, stroller companies never asked moms what we wanted! I see that companies are now getting smarter. :D
This “slider” stroller is pretty amazing. I’m very impressed. The frame folds up small! This is, to me, the number one selling point! The handles can be reversed, it’s light-weight, it’s stylish. Wow. The price tag is fancy, too– the basic slider/chassis seat is $569 retail. If you want the bassinet with it, that’s an additional $190. It’s great that components can be purchased separately. This stroller would make a beautiful baby shower gift– everyone can pool their money together and buy this for the mom. I think it would be a much better gift than 100 burp cloths or 50 assorted booties.
Mutsy also has a gorgeous 4Rider “Next” Cargo stroller that has– get this– a little mattress pad and cover for the baby! Adorable. And very luxurious.
I have a coupon code for you if you are interested in the Mutsy strollers! Get 10% off a stroller at Barebabies.com with the discount code mutsy10off. If you get one, take a photo with your baby and let me know! I’d love to see this thing in action!
