This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine.

When you’re a young mom, you kinda get sucked into motherhood, BIG time. I know I did. It becomes your life; you’re entire identity becomes wrapped up in being “MOM.” It was fun for, like, six or seven years. But after that, I wanted to be an adult again, lol.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE having teenagers. I have four of them. I can’t believe what all the cultural hype is about, raising teens. I am having the TIME of my life! I wish I’d had more kids and had endured the chaotic toddlerhood just so that I could have more teens! Think about it– teens can clean up after themselves! And when you’re not feeling well, they can clean up after you, too! Is that euphoric or what? I can be witty and joke with my kids, and they ACTUALLY understand the jokes, and then they laugh, too! I love having older children. I wish I could freeze these years, so that they won’t grow up beyond this. Selfish, I know. I just love my kids, they are so delightful.

I can also learn with them. We are a homeschooling-based family, so learning has become a lifestyle for us. And now that the kids are older, I can pursue my own education. Getting an Online degree is easier than ever, too. AND it’s more affordable, especially if you choose the accredited Ashworth College. Their tuition is said to be 50% less expensive than the average accredited online school. Moreover, Ashworth has a whole roster of nationally accredited career diplomas: Web Design, Marketing, Early Childhood Education, Interior Decorating, Medical Billing, and more. Ashworth offers Associate Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, and Certificate programs for those courses, and more.

Ashworth prides themselves on affordable education, too. They offer an zero-interest financing plan with a low-monthly payment plan. Plus, you can transfer up to 75% of your credits you’ve earned at other schools. It’s a really good opportunity. Education is more affordable than ever, and you can do it at HOME. So you don’t have to wait until they are practically all grown up to be more than just “mom.” ;)

I just found out that I have been nominated for Best Diarist Blog! Pardon me while I pick up my teeth from the floor, ya’all! Woweee! This is so cool! You can read about my nomination here.

The Blog site Freaky Frugalite has been nominated by Fida Abbott in the category – Best Diarist Blog. Fida told us that she felt that this was a great blog to nominate as it has everything about the owner’s interests and thoughts.

The BlogNet Awards Team was amused to see a good photo of one of the first spring weeds breaking ground. This blog review found it primarily to be a mom’s view of what is most mom’s lives. In a radical break from tradition, the blogger, Mrs. Mecomber, who has several blogs, and offers links to all of them, has the comments, archives, pages, pals, buttons and links on the left of the blog. She shares her thoughts with us on gardening, children, spam and sandal season…all pertinent to the twenty-first century mom. We think you’ll understand where she’s coming from.

I’m a twenty-first century mom!!! Do you have any idea what a great accomplishment this was?! Getting through the twentieth century was no easy feat!

And my beloved pal Fida nominated me! Fida is a very dear friend. I haven’t ever met anyone as kind and compassionate as she– she is a true marvel and a terrific writer. Thanks, Fida, for honoring me so much with this nomination. And thanks, BlogNet Awards, for liking my blog!

It seems like many mom bloggers are announcing their pregnancies or births these days. It is such an exciting (and utterly exhausting) time! My oldest just turned 18, so I guess I am considered an “older” mom. Wow, that happened fast!

I wish we had the Internet back then, and could have taken advantage of all the fancy things moms can get online. I’m SO jealous! How about those adorable party invitations or cute little birth announcements that everybody seems to have now? Back in the “olden days,” we were completely at the mercy of Hallmark (and Hallmark’s prices, ick)! Look at this adorable birth announcement card– isn’t it the sweetest thing!?! It’s from Izzyprints.com. They are a wonderful family-friendly card printing company. They started up by making stuff for friends and family, and just expanded as demand for their stuff grew. I like them because they allow you to customize the cards. That’s an important feature for creative moms who want their cards to be “just right.” I heard they are also going to be printing photos, soon, too. Check them out, I’ll bet you’ll like them! (I just have one question about them, though– where on earth did they get that hilarious name “Izzy”??)

Well, anyway, I just get to enjoy the baby cards– I’ll leave the diaper-changing, sleepless nights, and potty-training to you “young” moms. Heh heh.
