I have a secret to tell you. I have NEVER tried Ferrero chocolate. Nope. I know! It’s crazy! I must be the only one! Ohhh I’ve seen them on the shelves at the stores. They look back at me, tempting me with their big, bright shiny wrappers.

I have another secret. I’m not a great big fan of chocolate, either. (Yes, I am a woman!) I just don’t ferociously crave chocolate like so many of my gender do. I don’t know why. The “death by chocolate” craze just never appealed to me. But don’t get me wrong– I DO love chocolate and I do eat it when offered! I just don’t think, eat, and breathe chocolate.

But I may change that now. All for the cause, of course. :D

If you haven’t heard, Ferrero chocolates is donating money to the Share Our Strength organization, an organization that helps feed hungry children in the United States. Ferrero has something going on at their website (see here), where you can help donate to the hungry, too. It’s the Share Something Sweet program– send a customizable e-card (it’s free!) and Ferrero will donate $1 for each card sent, up to $10,000. And if you join the Ferrero Facebook page (see here), then Ferrero will donate another $1 to Share Our Strength (up to $1,000)! How is that for really neat! I donate to the food banks in the area, I hope you do, too– and this is another very easy way to help people in need. I think it’s a very worthy cause. Please consider it, especially as winter weather and the holidays arrive.

By the way, the Ferrero website has a nifty chocolate personality quiz here. Of course I tried it!

You are a Ferrero Rondnoir™ Dark Chocolates Personality

You have a tendency to be drawn to all things elegant, modern and tasteful. Your sophisticated palate desires the complexity and rich, velvety dark chocolate of Rondnoir™ dark chocolates. You fancy culture and refinement infused with a little excitement along the way. And you know the real fun only starts after dark!

Wow. I’m sophisticated! And the real fun begins after dark, huh? Yeah, that’s when the dishes are done and I can go to bed! lol. It’s a fun quiz. I’ll have to try those “Rondnoir” chocolates and see if they are really “me.”

Anyway, this is a good cause, and it’s EASY to do. Please consider helping the needy! Thanks!

P.S. I found this fact at Ferrero’s Facebook site: The amount of ROCHER® produced in 1 week would cover the area of 16 football fields. lol!

P.S.S. This is not a paid post! I thought my chocoholic friends might like to know about this to help justify their addiction, lol!

I saw this quiz at Lady Banana and thought I’d try it, too.

You Are 40% British

You’re about as British as a half hearted Anglophile… in other words, a piss poor Brit.

If you are indeed from Britain, you probably consider yourself a European more than anything else.

If you’re trying to pass for a Brit, you’re going to have to try a little harder.

Go to a football match. Drink until you puke. And head in to work the next morning totally hungover.

Well, OK. I guess I can handle that. I don’t drink tea and I love puns. So I’m somewhat British. lol.

Then, I took the American quiz.

HEY! :( The British quiz was about sports and food, the American quiz was about politics and the flag? No fair. I am against the war in Iraq, so that makes me less American?! BOO! What a biased quiz!

Oh, guess what. When I click “submit” to get my result, it says, “Page Not Found.” Funny, real funny. Probably someone from the UN did that…

Here’s another neat quiz I took, the RealAge Test. It’s not as silly as the other quizzes I’ve done here. This is a health survey. It’s a little lengthy, so be sure to set aside 5-10 minutes if you do it. A lot of the questions are based on what you eat, your family’s health background, your activity, and your habits. I was surprised to see a whole page devoted to things that cause stress, something I don’t often see in health tests. I was actually doing pretty well until I got to that page! :S

After you take the test, they ask for your email and send you your results. I am pretty healthy for a woman my age– I’m stronger and have more endurance than my kids, due to my extremely active lifestyle as a youth (felling trees, rollerskating every day, walking up and down mountains, etc). So I’ve still got a lot of pep in me, I tell ya!  I’m *only* showing up as one year older than I really am, due to the stress level. So, I know where I need to improve!

The website also has some other things for health-conscious folks, like tips on healthy eating and exercising, relieving stress, and offers for coupons and more. Looks like a good resource for health stuff! So if you want to test your age according to your health, take the RealAge Test! It’s free!

*I did another Internet quiz*

stoogesfight

noooooooooooooooooo nooooooooooooooooo

Could this mean that I’m…. addicted?

But golly gee, these are SO much fun! And I do so well on them, too. :D

I took the languages one, wondering what I was getting into. I was shocked to see such high scores! My old teachers would be so happy! (if they cared).

Your result for The Languages Test…

80% French! 60% German! 100% Italian! 100% Spanish! 100% English!

Look at the percentages above. The higher those percentages the higher your basic knowledge of those languages. Getting higher than %0% on any of these languages is great - it means you got at least 3/5 of the questions for that language correct!

The kids and I have been sick this week. I thought I would escape unscathed, but the adenoids are swollen and the stomach is hurting today. :-p So posts are kinda light. Here’s another entertaining but meaningless post!

Stay healthy, guys. :)

I can’t help it, I took another internet quiz! Ack! Well, I saw this one, and since I am married to an amateur musician (and a durn good one), I thought I’d see what happened.

Completely predictable.

Your result for What Kind of Musician Should You Marry Test…

Orchestra Musician

You’re a mature and demanding person but your demands are not those of pretentious teenagers. Not everyone would appreciate an orchestra musician: they’re not the kind to be begged for autographs. But you realize that it’s not popularity that makes a good husband/wife - it’s reliability instead. If you’re attracted to the idea of marrying a musician it’s not for the superficial charm, it’s because you realize that a serious musician is someone intellectual and hard-working, someone you’re looking for. Plus, it’s nice to have a solo played just for you on an instrument that takes years to master.

I found this quiz at someone’s blog (gosh, I forgot whose; my memory is like a sieve). Such fun! Look what I scored.

Your result for The Classic Dames Test…

Carole Lombard

You’re a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style. You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life. You’re stylish and modern, but you’ve got a few rough edges that keep you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. Watch out for small planes.

Find out what kind of classic leading man you’d make by taking the
Classic Leading Man Test.

A fruitcake?! ME?!?! frolic

This was a fun test. The questions were easy, no mathematical quizzing or philosophies about futures trading or anything. And I always thought Carole Lombard had class. ;)

I saw this at another blog (forgot where! sorry! leave a comment if it was you!) and was almost afraid to take this test. But I bit the bullet, closed my eyes, and this is what popped up.

Do you talk too much in your blog?
Created by OnePlusYou -

On average, your blog posts are around 1330 words in length. This is 210 percent longer than other bloggers who took this test.

OK, I’m wordy. I use lots of words! My husband– that darling, kind, considerate man– calls it “verbage.” A blend of “verbal” and “garbage.” Ha ha ha.

Great, so now I’m going to have a complex everytime I write a post, second-guessing myself if it’s too long or too wordy, or…

this post IS getting pretty lengthy, isn’t it?

DUH

Oh I just remembered what blog I found this on– Laketrees! How could I forget, duh!

Well, here’s a very unusual cognitive test I just took! I found it here; it’s done by the Cognitive Drug Research group. From what I could see, the quiz has nothing to do with drugs, unless they are testing my coffee-induced, caffeine-cognitivity, lol. I took three brief tests, and every one of them was basically testing my ability to click a button when I recognized an image or concept. It says that speed and accuracy are tested. Well, here’s my score, which surprised me:

brain

Woohoo! An 18-year old brain! :-p Big deal. I’d rather have a 40-year old brain and an 18-year old body. Well, I can take comfort in that I can still cart around my own Briggs and Riley without a cane, at any rate. :-p

I tried out a cute new quiz, but couldn’t decide on the final question. Quite the quandary! The last question is “Are you a geek?”

I don’t know if I am a geek! I can do html coding (Blogger and Wordpress) but I can’t build an entire website. I understand some things, probably more than the “average” gal, but I have no idea if I am a geek or not. I could probably install a plasma stand, but don’t ask me to install a plasma TV!

Here’s the first result. I answered “no” to geekdom.

You Are Impact

You are very unique and quite striking. You are forceful and aggressive.
You never go unnoticed, and people recognize your power instantly.

While you make your presence known, your message is a bit fuzzy.
You are not the easiest person to understand, and you’re not one for details.

And now I answered “yes” to geekdom.

You Are Comic Sans

You are a nothing but a big goofball. You’re quite playful and fun!
You’re widely known for your zany personality and your vivacious attitude.

To say that you stand out in a crowd would be a definite understatement.
Remember that you are overwhelming at times and that people appreciate you best in small doses.

I am more inclined to be a geek than not.

Golly, life’s questions are sure tough.

Chilly from On the Bricks has tagged me for a meme– the 6 Unspectacular Quirks About You Meme. Chilly, dear…. my WHOLE LIFE is unspectacularly quirky. Where on earth do I begin?!? Hmm.

1. I sometimes make up words, like “unspectacularly.” Not a word. Until now.

2. I love the starry skies at night. I could lay outside all night just looking at them and pondering them.

3. I love planting things: trees, flowers, vegetables, fruits, anything. My dream is to have my entire property one great big garden, with a house in the middle. A renovated house.

4. I always default to natural remedies first thing. Got a headache? Don’t take aspirin; go lay down in a dark room. I am very slow to reach for chemicals and pharmaceuticals, like Leptovox. I even clean my house with natural cleaners (like Borax, baking soda, pine cleaner).

5. I sleep with a pillow over my head, to block out light and sound. I am a very light sleeper, and the slightest sounds wake me up.

6. I hate bats. They flap around and bite. I hate them. But they love me! They always dive-bomb my way; maybe it is because I have a slightly higher body temperature than normal, and they detect the heat. But I cower from them and my husband must rescue me, even if it means calling him home to take care of it!

So there are the unspectacular quirks. Now I get to inflict 6 others with this meme! *cackles* Of course, I will be nice and say that you are under no obligation to do the meme, but in all actuality I will cry for days and refuse to read your emails if you don’t. ;) If you have already done this meme and have exhausted your supply of quirkiness, then just feel free to link to your old post, or ignore my pleas.
