This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of Cryo-Cell? They are the leading cord blood bank company in the industry. “Cord banking” refers to the storage of umbilical cord blood. This blood is filled with stem cells– the blood is typically thrown away after the baby’s birth. I don’t see why some people are so intent on “using” aborted babies for their stem cells (which is totally inhumane and disgusting) when stem cells abound in cord blood. There is more ongoing research, and thankfully Cryo-Cell is taking the lead. You can read loads more about stem cell research and Cryo-Cell’s contribution at their website. In a nutshell, Cryo-Cell provides cord-blood harvesting kits to expectant parents. When the baby is born, a small sampling of the baby’s umbilical cord blood is harvested. This portion is sent to the Cryo-Cell storage facility. The blood is reserved for future use for the child or a sibling. The benefits for this are on many levels– for one, that cord blood which is full of stem cells is reserved for your child should he or she ever need it. Research is showing that stem cells can help treat and even resolve certain diseases, such as diabetes and immunity disorders and etc. Moreover (and this happened to a relative of mine), stem cells from one child can help an ailing sibling. I had a niece who had leukemia as a baby, and no match could be found for a bone marrow donor. After the birth of her baby brother, however, my niece found her match; but bone marrow harvesting is a painful process; no kid should have to go through that. If cord blood had been available for her, I’m sure it would have been better for her and her little brother.

Cryo-Cell’s umbilical cord blood storage system is ground-breaking. And now Cryo-Cell is trying to help out the earthquake victims in Haiti. Throughout February, Cryo-Cell will donate $25 from each cord-blood subscription enrollment to the the “Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.” If you’ve been waiting in the wings for your chance to check out Cryo-Cell, here it is.

Have you heard about the amazing things the medical establishment is doing with stem cells? I’m not talking about embryonic stem cells– I am 110% against killing off life to “harvest” their parts. I’m talking about the safe and honest practice of stem cell collection from umbilical cord blood. I think it’s amazing. I know of some people who, in preparing for surgery, store up their own blood over a period of time, because they do not want to use anyone else’s blood. The umbilical cord blood stem cell collection and storage is a lot like that. Umbilical cord blood stem cells are being used to treat dozens and dozens of diseases, and are being utilized in transplants.

The industry’s leader with stem cell collection and storage is none other than Cryo-Cell. They realize that cord blood collection can be a rather expensive venture in today’s economy, so they are having a SALE! :D If you have been holding back on checking out Cryo-Cell’s service, this may be the moment you’ve been waiting for, because I have two specials to tell you about: the Cryo-Cell’s premium family service, the “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” service. All you have to do is use this special code 995PS by midnight on Sunday, July 26, and you’ll get the special service for $995. It includes processing, testing, and the first year of storage. Plus, the cancellation is is waived. This is almost half off the service! And there is also the bundled (haha, no pun intended!) Signature U-Cord service with the Exclusive C’elle Service combined for $1299 if you use the code P2PS.

These are great deals. If you have been wanting to take advantage of the scientific advantages of collecting and storing your baby’s umbilical cord blood, this is an excellent time to do so. Time is of the essence!
I didn’t know those statistics. That’s amazing!

I’ve written several times about the remarkable technology behind adult stem cell and umbilical cord blood stem cell research and harvesting. I am 110% against abortion and I’m 110% against killing innocent unborn babies for harvesting their stem cells. Stem cell research abounds on adult cells and umbilical cord blood– and there are many, many benefits that far outweigh using unborn babies as spare parts.

Cryo-Cell is a company that specializes in cord blood banking– they are actually the leader in the industry– and have over 175,000 clients and growing. Cryo-Cell provides kits to parents; when their baby is born, a small sampling of the umbilical cord blood is harvested, and the sample is shipped to the Cryo-Cell facilities. It is placed in storage for any future use for the child or siblings. New parents are rapidly becoming aware of the benefits of cord blood storage. If you are interested, I have a coupon code from Cryo-Cell where you can save $725 on Cryo-Cell’s U-Cord service! Use the promotional code HOT. This offer is only good until June 28, 2009, so check it out.

You’ve heard me discuss the science and benefit about stem cell therapy. I have always been 100% against harvesting stem cells from unborn babies– human life is precious at every age and development, and should be protected at all costs. However, harvesting stem cells in other ways– safer ways that do not harm or kill innocent life– is an encouraging development to me. Adult stem cells have been proven to be just as, or more, effective than cells harvested from unborn children. I am 100% in favor of adult stem cell therapy– and I find the entire science behind it just fascinating! God made these stem cells to be like little powerhouses, and we can tap into them to treat diseases! It is marvelous to me.

Adult stem cells can be harvested from umbilical cord blood. Some parents may collect their baby’s cord blood and store it at a facility, where it sits in a secure and hygenic place. Of course, it’s hoped that the stem cells are never necessary for disease therapy, but like reserving your blood in preparation for surgery that you hope you never have, it pays to be prepared. And there’s another easy way regular citizens can take part in collecting and storing stems cells for the future– through a woman’s cycle. C’elle, a leading company for stem cell collection, has a great offer– Enroll now and pay only $299 if you use the promo code CN400.

I’ve been thinking a lot about that old proverb, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” I wish I had applied to myself as a young person– I wouldn’t have to be using so many “pounds” as I grow older, haha! Why does it take so long to mature?? I wish I’d done things some things differently! Oh well, live and learn, eh?

The people at Cryo-Cell International have thought about this, too. Cryo-Cell International is a blood bank; specifically, it’s a service for parents and their new babies. They are one of the largest blood banks in the world. Umbilical cord blood is collected at birth with one of Cryo-Cell’s special kits. This cord blood is shipped to the Cryo-Cell blood banks and stored there. Medical studies have shown that umbilical cord blood is filled with stem cells– stem cells that can be utilized for future medical needs for the child. Stem cells have been called “the master cells,” because they produce all of the maturing cells in the body, including white blood cells and red blood cells. I think this is amazing! And cord blood collection it completely eliminates that false idea that scientists “need” to harvest stem cells from aborted babies. Cord blood, which kills no baby and hurts no one, can be harvested for its stem cells.

The Cryo-Cell kit is easily obtained. You can visit their website to learn more about the process and the cost– see here to

Here they come a-rollin’. The birthdays. Now that the holidays are over, you think my shopping is over? Nay! My shopping has only just begun! I think there are… hmm… 10– yes, TEN– birthdays between Christmas and Easter, and that is just the immediate family. I’m exhausted already!

Most of my kids are late winter/early spring babies. My eldest will soon be 19 years old. *sob* I can’t believe how she’s grown up so fast. And I can’t believe how old I’ve gotten so quickly, lol! Things have really changed since then, even in those short 20 years. I know some of you blogger friends reading this are expectant moms. Things have changed SOOO much. Like ultrasounds? Back then, they were fuzzy images, and we got printouts, like a Xerox machine (which, by the way, don’t last long). Today, you lucky ladies get 3D images on a CD disk! Do you have any idea how neat that is?! I wish I’d had that.

Another neat new thing is Cryo-Cell. It’s the name of a company- the largest family cord blood bank and storage service- that will store your baby’s umbilical cord blood. I think it is amazing at how parents are able to take more control of their baby’s health these days with things like this.

Cryo-Cell sells kits. After the birth of the baby, the kit allows your medical assistant to reserve some of the baby’s umbilical cord blood. This reserve is mailed to the Cryo-Cell storage facility, where the cord blood is kept in a storage facility especially for your baby. This blood has stem cells, which have been proven to help with diseases. More and more research is being done on stem cells every year, and they have high hopes that stem cells from umbilical cord blood will help to treat and cure a lot of ailments. It’s a beautiful thing to do for a child. You can even purchase gift certificates to give the gift of Cryo-Cell for expectant parents. See here for current offers.

I remain amazed at the leaps and bounds of technology. I have to wonder how things will be in twenty more years?!

I have been and always will be 110% against using aborted babies for stem cells. It is sickening, immoral, and smacks of Hitler and Nazi Germany. I grew up hearing the stories of human skin lamps and the other sick things people did to each other during that time. And human life is precious, no matter what age or stage of development a person is in.

But I think I am OK with stem cell research if a person wants to donate. Like giving blood to an accident victim, or donating bone marrow to a leukemia victim, I think stem cell donation can do a lot of good. Of course, God is the one who does the healing and He made the body to get well; but even God “borrowed” a part from Adam to build Eve. :D

There’s recent news making headlines that the biggest cord blood bank, Cryo-Cell, has teamed up with the National Institute of Health to research treating diseases with stem cells. Of particular interest is the study to see if stem cells can treat breast cancer. They intend– for the first time– to use a non-invasive imaging method to track the progress, that of the MRI! I think that is amazing! I’ve had my share of MRIs and I find it an amazing tool.

What do you think? Do you think this constitutes a new and improved means of science health? I participated in a scientific study when I was induced for labor for two of my children. I hope that my own results help mothers and babies in the future. We can use science to advance health and healthy living. I think it’s time for that. Mankind is predisposed to use technology for his selfish and evil purposes; time to start helping people instead!
