Thai Dragon Fruit Febreze

Ooo I love it when I get surprise packages in the mail. A very nice advertiser sent me the latest Febreze product, to check out before it’s widely distributed. I’m so honored that they cherish my opinion. After saying our hellos to the Ugly Pooch Snatcher (what we imagine our dog calls the UPS man), we opened up the box to find this beautifully wrapped gift. Whoa! What could be inside?!

Pretty! It’s Thai Dragon Fruit Febreze!

It came with the Febreze spray, a little wooden elephant knick-knack, and the elegant silk scarf with an elastic ball gift-wrapper. Livvy LOVES the elastic ball!

I love the Febreze, and the scarf. I use the scarf to cover my computer monitor at night (to keep Livvy from licking the LCD screen, ew). The scent is their best scent ever, although I still do like the vanilla Febreze an awful lot. This Thai Dragon Febreze is part of Febreze’s new “Febreze Destinations Collection.” The Thai scent is sweet smelling– none of that nasty, acrid smell that other fresheners have (which give me headaches). We’ve been using the Thai Febreze a lot because we’d have the dog in the house since she’s been ill. Boy, it has come in HANDY, I tell you. Phew, beagles smell.

Anyway, the Thai is nice. It’s soft, and it smells a lot like papaya/mangoes might smell if you stuffed them into an aerosol can. I think it’s one of Febreze’s best. By the way, there’s a cool Febreze Destinations Collection Sweepstakes going on, if you like contests.

It’s just amazing how having kids multiplies your “stuff.” When my husband and I married, the only electronics we had to our name was a stereo system, an iron, and a toaster. Oh, and 3 can openers that we got as wedding gifts. That was IT. Now, we have, like, half a dozen computers, as many printers, several TVs, DVD players, CD players, Playstation gaming console, three VCRs, and we still have that nice stereo system. (The can openers died a few months later). Well, all those nifty electronic devices are great, but HOLY COW do we need so many remotes?! I am up to my eyeballs in remotes. I can NEVER keep track of them– and two of them are the EXACT same because they go to the same models of DVD players we got. Gah!

That photo only shows MOST (not all) of our remotes. THOSE are the ones we could find– the rest are hiding in the couch cushions or somewhere in the house. It’s just my pet peeve to have remotes cluttering my tables and chairs. HATE it! Don’t you?! Wellll…. guess what?? There’s a sweet Yamaha neoHD I’ve been checking out. It’s a gorgeous little console that promises to end Remote Control rage as we know it– the Yamaha neoHD basically consolidates all your remotes into one console– with ONE remote! The neoHD uses your HDTV with the remote to control all your electronic remote cntrol choices. I watched a few videos on the website– the technology is amazing!

Hee! Have you ever tried BluFrog Energy Drink? I have. Honestly, I don’t think I need more energy than I already have. I’m kinda frantic and kinetic as it is! BluFrog drink tastes something like 7-Up without the fizz, like lemon-lime soda without carbonation. When I first tried it, I expected it to be thick and chalky, like Slim-Fast or something. But it is smooth and a little tangy.

Let Me Give You a Kissimmee!

Woo! Gotta love the sweepstakes. I have yet to win one yet…. but, hey, ya never know! It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, right?! This is a beautiful giveway– the Kissimmee Freedom to Enjoy Sweepstakes. I’ve only been to Florida once, but ooo I’d love to see it again– and have the kids see it, too.

Kissimmee is a GREAT place. I visited it years ago. It’s near all those “big” places, like DisneyWorld and the Epcot Center, and to SeaWorld (which we hope to see someday); but Kissimmee retains that small-town charm, too. There are hokey places to visit (I love these kind of “Roadside America” sites) like the Monument of States in downtown Kissimmee. And there are very, very cool things to do, like taking a airboat over the swamps! Wooooo! Boy, I’d love to do that! Remember Marlin Perkins and his Wild Kingdom? They used to whip those airboats across the water.. man! That would be a super vacation, let me tell you. And then there’s the Heritage Trail! And the Morse Museum of American Art! And the Osceola Heritage Park!

So how does Kissimmee sound to you, huh? It gets even sweeter to think that such a vacation could be free! Gimme a Kissimmee!

Ya GOTTA love free stuff. I know I have no hindrances with it. :D We are always going to places that are free or dirt-cheap. When all my kids are independent and I am reaping in the money, THEN I can go on a cruise, right? For now, it’s nature walks, visiting zoos in the off-season, visiting museums with free admission, etc. With four kids, admission prices can really add up… so it’s obvious that we would lean toward the frugal finds. But sometime we’re going to splurge and do something WILD… like visit a different state, woo!

We have plans of going “down south.” I’d LOVE to show the kids the Gulf of Mexico. I visited Florida as a teen and I will never forget the sight of the turquoise-blue waters lapping up the white sands on the beach. It was exquisite, the visit of a lifetime. I went with a friend and we stayed with friends in Kissimmee, visited Orlando (Museum of Wax, Disney World) and went to the western side of Florida to the beach. Wow. It is so beautiful there. But the kids are pretty sick of my visit-to-Florida-when-I-was-a-teen stories. I guess it’s time to actually take them. And I hear the Osceola County Historical Museum is a spectacular place to visit, too. And the Monument of States in downtown Kissimmee looks cool, too (and free!). It’s a huge monument that has a rock from every state in the U.S.

So of course, seeing the beach and monuments are free. GETTING to the beach and monuments is another story. And here’s the good news: there’s a vacation giveaway getaway package from the generous folks at the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau! It’s called the Freedom to Enjoy Kissimmee Sweepstakes. Oh my gosh, this video (link below) is so funny that I just HAD to try it!! I got to “virtually” sit on Santa’s lap! Think he’ll give me my request? ;)

I got it in writing; Santa had better follow through or he’ll be hearing from my lawyers. I saw Miracle on 34th Street, and my expectations are pretty high!
