My coffeemaker is on its way out.
If you read my Twitter tweets (and you HAVE been reading them right???), you may have noticed that I complained that my coffee tasted like cardboard. I thought it was the brand of coffee, but now I am wondering if it is the coffeemaker. I’ve washed it out with vinegar and have tried another blend of coffee, but it still feels like I am swallowing liquified cardboard with cream and sugar. Bleeechhh!
My coffeemaker is a little *cough* old, yeah. I got it free, years ago, from Gevalia. You know– Gevalia sends you a junk mail flyer saying you can have their coffeemaker if you buy 2lbs of their coffee… wasn’t too bad a deal. But the clock on the coffeemaker is starting to act weird, and the coffeemaker “on” button clicks on and off when I run the can opener at the same time. And of course the coffee tastes like… you know…

So…. I’m shopping around for another coffeemaker. Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve seen a very nice (and affordable) model at Buy.com (my favorite store). It’s a Black & Decker 12-cup and it looks really nice– pretty red! And it’s only $24 bucks with free shipping, too! There are loads of other good-looking coffeemakers there… decisions, decisions…
In case you are in the market for a coffeemaker, or a computer, or an mp3 player, or even vacuum cleaner filters and belts– check out Buy.com. I am always combing through their weekly sale website. I have found quite a number of fabulous deals there! Let me know what coffeemaker you have found, I’m looking for opinions.

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. I know that this is not a cheap coffee maker but if you love coffee like I do, you would love it as much as I do. I have never spent much on coffee makers so James bought me this one as a Mother’s Day gift last year. I fell in love with it right away. It is the DeLonghi Caffe Nabucco Espresso, Cappuccino, and Coffee Bar and costs about $80. I know what you are thinking but it does also make Espresso and Cappuccino so it saves money that I would be spending at a coffee shop. It is a wonderful relaxing luxury that I can have anytime I want. I loved it so much that I blogged about it back then.

My suggestion isn’t cheap either… I just about died when my husband insisted on buying me a Bunn one Valentines Day at the cost of $100… but I absolutely love it! My coffee is done in 2 minutes! Now I’m spoiled… I don’t like to wait for a cup of coffee… especially in the mornings…. and now I don’t have to. It’s definitely worth the money!
