I love the book and we own the movie. It’s great. I wasn’t named about Corrie ten Boom, but I have her same name (and my dad was from Holland), so I’ve grown up knowing about her.

i haven’t read this book and i haven’t seen the movie as well. but i have the sequel book “the tramp for the lord’.. it inspires me.

I read this years (and years and years) ago when I was a teen (along with Elie Wiesel’s personal account of his death march between concentration camps. I can’t find the title of that book now.)

This Hiding Place was good book. I didn’t know there was a movie either. I’ll have to see if I can hunt a copy up so I can watch it.

What a NEAT coincidence! I JUST ordered this movie TODAY on Netflix, for my daughter and myself.

I’ve read the book several years ago, and even remember seeing this movie with my grandmother at a movie theatre, or was that at the drive-in… hmmm….

Can’t wait to get this movie, we are expecting it in 2 days!

This was one of my favorite books growing up. In an age where comfort and entertainment are king, it’s important that we teach our children what sacrifice and honor are all about.

Freedom is precious, and it is paid for through sacrifice. I pray that times like those never come again on a worldwide scale, but even as we blog from our comfortable office chairs people are living this horror over and over again in tyrannical countries around the world. A former acquaintence borrowed my first copy of the book and never returned it, so I had to buy another on eBay. I’ve read that book many times, and love it, but I’ve never seen the movie. Guess I’ll have to search for it and find some time to sit down!

Oh my goodness, I had almost forgotten of this book. I read this so many times as a kid and teenager that I lost count. It is the most important book I think that I have ever read. I don’t think I watched any film though. I typically don’t if I’ve already read the book.

I am going to have to search out this book for another read.

I read the book when I was probably in junior high. It made a big impact on my life. I think I saw Corrie ten boom on the news and it really struck me that she was a real person. I think everyone should read the book. It sure made me appreciate everything.
