I wear makeup (well, I *try* to, what a chore!) whenever I go out. I joke that I’m being scriptural when I do (Be ye kind to one another, Eph 4:32, lol). I’d like to think that it really does make a difference. Don’t we all?
I saw this post called “The Power of Makeup” on a blog. WHOA! Now that’s a radical difference! This gal goes from this:

LOL!
Gosh I think I need to take more lessons, or get a LOT more makeup. I don’t think my finished product comes out that good…
The in between stages had loads of photos, and I didn’t want to post them all here; go here to check it out if you want to see.
So, NO, GUYS, it isn’t true! Girls aren’t *magically* gorgeous in all those magazines! It’s an illusion– a little bit of Maybelline, and a little bit of Photoshop!

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.
