Have you heard about Skidboot?! I can’t believe I missed this!! Even my kids had heard of him! I saw this video and it made me cry. WHAT an amazing dog! And what a terrific owner. This story will have you laughing, then reaching for the Kleenex box.
I did a little digging about this story. Skidboot has his own website. He died in 2007 after living for fourteen years. His health had been in decline for many years after a horse kicked him in the head, and blinding one of his eyes. 
He was laid to rest in March 2007, under an oak tree on the Texas farm.
I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.
