TOTALLY. EXHAUSTED.

Blabber

Oh please oh please, I hope this is not a *sign* of getting old. I am TOTALLY exhausted.
:coffeestat:
I am just SO tired after my trip to NYC. It’s unusual for me, who is usually brimming with energy. Maybe it’s because I got dehydrated on my trip. Here in Upstate, the weather has been cool, almost freezing, with temps in the 60s. (And New Hampshire had snow today!!). So I stupidly traveled to NYC expecting it to be the same. It was a whopping 90 degrees in the shade. I visited Trinity Church, and you could literally see the rising swell of humidity in the air.

Trinity Church Haze

There was no *free* water anywhere in the city. I finally grabbed some from a street vendor (after haggling the price down 50 cents), and guzzled it like no tomorrow. I couldn’t believe how hot it was in the city, egads! And I hadn’t brought my shorts, but my long-sleeved flannel shirt! :-p

Anyway, I got a little dehydrated from all the walking and very little drinking. I’ve been trying to take it easy, but SHEESH I already took yesterday easy!! I have loads to do, a life to live! I have to edit all the photos I took, write blog posts, write posts for sponsors, write articles for my freelance, visit blogs, comment on blogs…. and then there’s my house that is still sitting here, partially gutted. Ugh. I have to finish the electricity this weekend because the electrical inspector is coming next week. And then I have to insulate the walls immediately because the insulation inspector is coming, too. Whew. Even thinking about it all makes me POOPED.

I drank three cups of strong coffee this afternoon, hoping it would energize me a teeny-tiny bit… and promptly konked out into a deep sleep. Whoa. And even after the nap, I’m STILL so tired, I feel like I coul—

*THUD*

Yup, sounds like you were dehydrated all right. That is a big swing in temperature for sure! Take it easy and drink some more water before you tackle all those things.

Oh my, dehydration is very bad business! Get you some Gatorade to drink. That always brings me back to life. But be careful if you diabetic because your sugar level could sky rocket. But whatever, just keep pushing fluids into your body.

Friend of mine living in Albany, NY was telling me just a couple days ago that it was in the 90′s there.

Now you want snow to cool things down????????? muhahahaha… ;-)
