TWFW: The Evidence Demands a Verdict

April 15, 2009

WFW

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest to them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man… Romans 1:18-23

It irks me to no end that so-called atheists arrogantly demand “proof” of God’s existence yet refuse to determine it for themselves. It’s everywhere! A little bit of study– or even standing on the shoulders of giants– lends sufficient proof of God. In all my years as an adult, I have found that while these people demand “evidence,” they are more like concrete in their own atheistical belief (mixed-up and well-set)– because there is no such thing as proving a negative, which is what atheism claims to do. And yet these atheists desire to come off as logical, rational, realistic thinkers who are so much better than the rest of us. And what’s worse, Christians feel intimidated, and pander to such atheistic ridiculousness, as if atheism and atheists have equal intellectual footing. Balderdash!

I am not intimidated at all. I am plerophoria, fully assured, that God exists, that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, and that He sent His Son into the world to save you and I from our sins- was crucified, died, and rose again. Evidence abounds. But atheists and agnostics sit back in their easy chairs, demanding that we do hoops and hurdles to “prove” to them (such worthy beings that they are) that God exists. Do it yourself, you lazy bum. And if you have any sense at all, you’ll go about it like a real investigator goes about it– by looking at the alternative side (not just trying to beef up your opinionated side) of the story. That’s how truth is realized. Here, I’ll even help ya– check out these books, if you can’t handle the Bible: The Evidence Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell; The Case For Christ, by Lee Stroebel; Why I Believe, by Dr. D. James Kennedy; The Reasonableness of Christianity, by John Locke. Christians should read these, too, if they have any doubts or adhere to that “as long as a person has faith in something, it’s OK” thinking.

And for those who desire to know the real reason why most hard-headed atheists embrace Darwinism (besides the self-important power it gives them)– Well, read the rest of Romans 1. Or, you can take it from the Grand Poobah atheistic kook, Julian Huxley, himself, who confessed, “The reason we leapt at the origin of the species was that the idea of God interfered with our sexual morays.”

Maybe you think I’m being too hard and not being “loving” enough. Well, this is being loving– revealing the hard facts and dismissing fairy tales of Darwinism (for which there is NO proof, and I actually looked for it, too) and standing up against for the constant stream of hate and spite toward Christians and Christianity. Christians, take back your brains.

To quote Neal Boortz, “I don’t believe in Atheists.”

What Bible websites did you look at?

Click my name. How do you explain those ERVs?

Then explain human chromosome number two.

When you get done lying about those two pieces of evidence from molecular biology, there are millions more pieces of evidence for you to lie about. That’s the only way you can defend your childish belief in supernatural magic, lying about scientific discoveries you know nothing about.

“Do it yourself, you lazy bum.”

If you want to believe in a magic god fairy, it’s up to you to provide evidence for it. Don’t expect other people do prove or disprove your fantasies.

“why most hard-headed atheists embrace Darwinism”

It’s called evolutionary biology, not darwinism. It’s a branch of science, not an atheistic idea.

Hard-headed? Is that what you call all scientifically literate people?

    • Rebecca Says:

Microbiology supports creation. I refer you to Michael Behe, especially, if you have the gut to read his research. And the term “Darwininsm” is correct, because the theory of macro-evolution is just that: a theory.

  3. bobxxxx Says:

“the constant stream of hate and spite toward Christians and Christianity”

The contempt is deserved. If Christians had the decency to keep their childish ideas out of our schools, there would be no problem.

  4. bobxxxx Says:

Why I Believe, by Dr. D. James Kennedy

He’s dead, thank goodness. What I would like to know is why did James Kennedy lie about Darwin? Would Jeebus have spread lies like today’s Christians?

To my readers: I do not recommend that you click on the link to “bobxxxx'” name, as it is a link to a YouTube video, and there’s a risk that links like these take you to sites/videos that may be infected with a virus.

    Human chromosome number two:

You can’t explain this chromosome unless you agree we share an ancestor with chimpanzee apes.

I often wonder what are you Christians so afraid of. Is being one of the modern ape species really so terrible?

People are just apes, but look at what we have accomplished. We should be proud to be the only species that has walked on the moon, despite the fact our ancestors include fish and ancient apes.

DNA evidence doesn’t lie. Evolution is a bloody fact. Your denial of this fact just makes you look like an uneducated hick. I suggest you should educate yourself and join the 21st century, unless you enjoy being laughed at.

Rebecca, don’t be afraid of YouTube. It’s owned by google.

“I refer you to Michael Behe, especially, if you have the gut to read his research.”

Behe is the laughing stock of the scientific community. He invokes supernatural magic to solve scientific problems he doesn’t understand. He’s also a compulsive liar. Every one of his childish ideas was refuted at the Dover trial, but Behe continues to preach the same nonsense to his gullible non-scientist customers.

“the theory of macro-evolution is just that: a theory.”

A theory is the highest level of understanding in science. Look it up. I’m not going to do all your homework for you.

    Human chromosome number two:

    http://cwgk.blogspot.com/2009/04/everything-you-wanted-to-know-about.html

You can’t explain it without lying about it.

You can’t explain it without lying about it.

    “Christians, take back your brains.”

That’s what I’m trying to get you to do.

Study science instead of invoking professional liars for Jeebus.

A little education won’t kill you.

Some of bobxxx’s comments got snagged in my Spam Filter. Hehe… maybe WordPress is smarter than I thought!

Anyway.. human chromosome number two?! THIS explains gravity, reason, the law of nature, mitochondria, the integration of bodily systems, etc etc?

Come on, bobxxx… believing in a “missing link” is old school. This is on par with Piltdown man, Lucy, Heckel’s “embryos,” and the peppered moth (all hoaxes that “proved” evolution in their day).

  10. akaGaGa Says:

Good post, Rebecca. Sorry I’m late to the party, but I was at the tea party in Albany today. I did put your link in for you. šŸ™‚

As for bobxxx? I’ll just share a little scripture and not waste my time.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
    (1 Corinthians 1:18)

  11. Sher Says:

HI Rebecca, great post…and you really gave it to that guy!!! Good for you!!! Thanks for sharing…it’s like a breath of fresh air here on the blogosphere!!

    Have a great day,
    Sher :0)

  12. Tina Says:

Rebecca – I really enjoyed your post. Reading the back and forth just makes me shake my head. Such nonsense. It always gets me how those that do not believe can so easily dismiss the belief of God and creation as not being science. Creation IS science!

  13. Hercules Mulligan Says:

Great post! I was actually just reading this portion of Scripture recently, and meditating on it again. How true.

Great response to bobxxxx too. If I may throw in my penny:

It’s pretty clear who has been spending more time in serious study and research. The person, however, who spends his time looking for Christian blogs and bloggers to mock, and write half a dozen comments (without presenting a shred of affirmative evidence for their case) full of ridicule — is not the serious student. No; rather, he is too intelligent to stoop so low as to learn something contrary to what he FEELS to be right and FEELS to be superstitious.

From a common sense and scientific point of view, it is far more intelligent to believe that an intelligent non-material being created the world and set laws in motion, than to believe in spontaneous generation (i.e., that order, and life in particular, created itself, or arose from non-living matter)– something that was scientifically disproven centuries ago by Robert Boyle.

Darwin was no scientist. He never studied to be a scientist. He postulated an idea, and imagined up most of what he proposed. If you read his books, most of it is “it could have been” and “maybe” and “perhaps we will find the evidence that one species evolved into another” (ah, another scientific impossibility — ask Carolus Linnaeus). NOT SCIENCE. Yeah, “Darwinism” is a good term.

I’m sorry you’re WAY too intelligent to even dare to question your ideas, bobxxxx. It’s a real shame.
