I am so sick of the spam!!!
Spam in my email, spam on my landline phone, spam on my cell phone, spam in my voicemail, spam in my blog comments!!!
I checked in to my blog three days ago, after not having signed in for three days. My eyes nearly popped out when I saw the spam total in my WordPress dashboard.

Day Two:

Day Three:

Why oh why is there so much spam? I have Akismet, I have Bad Behavior… the blogs are spammed enough, but 97% of the phone calls I get (landline and cell phone) are spam, too. I don’t see why these spammers try so hard. Are the rewards so great? Do people really fall for all that spam?

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

I was listening to Kim Komando on recently on radio. I believe she said 98% of all e-mail was spam. Considering the cost of sending a message, it’s little wonder that so much of it is sent our way.

Wow! I thought my 50 spam were bad. You must be very popular. Wink, wink.

Karen, I wish I wasn’t so popular with the spammers!! LOL– for every *real* comment here, I get about 10 spam. :-p

I agree, I am so sick of spam my self. It everywhere, but the amount you got on your blog is crazy. I was just reading the other day that supposedly Microsoft had brought down one of the biggest spamming networks. When are we going to see the fruits of that? I’m still getting spam on my emails, and on my phone when I am trying to concentrate on something useful.
