I customize EVERYTHING. I just hate “status quo.” I hate the bland, boring Twitter pages (I customized mine the next day I got an account), the bland, boring Firefox and Opera browser skins (I download funky ones), the bland, boring Windows desktops (I often go psychodelic), and worst of all– the BLAND, BORING Google search page. Gah! That same old page has been the same ol’ boring design for, what, TEN years?! Boooooring.
Why have boring when you can have FUN! Colorful! Personal! Like.. one of my precious kitty.
Isn’t she the most gorgeous thing you’ve ever seen?!
That’s a screenshot of my personalized Favitt page. Favitt is basically a skinned Google search page. It’s free to use! Favitt searches are powered by Google’s Custom Search, and they also allow you to create your own customized background for your search page. I like trying out these kinds of things. Favitt maintains something they call their “ExpertRank” algorithm, segmenting search results by the most relevant things (not the most popular, as some search engines do). I don’t know all the in’s and out’s of their complicated mathematical calculations, all I now is that Favitt is pretty cool, and I love having my baby on my search desktop!
You have to create a username to use Favitt, and you must be over 13 years of age. Of course– no explicit or copyrighted material is allowed. And you can choose what you want as often as you want! Check out Favitt. It’s tremendously fun and easy– and it’s definitely NOT boring!
