I mentioned last week that I bought a few more domain names and added them to my Hostgator web host account. I love building blogs and tinkering with blog graphic design. It’s mostly a trial-and-error process, but I do enjoy it. I always learn new things when I do, as well.
So I’ve spent HOURS upon HOURS building one of my newest babies. I’ll give you a sneak peek if you want to see: The Older Geek. :D I love the name. I’ve only got a few posts up, and a very nifty Glossary of Blogging Terms that I’ve worked long and hard on. I’m currently working on a lengthy series, How Do I Get a Blog? I’ve only finished Part 2; I have grandiose dreams of making some screencast videos for the tutorials. It’s a lot of work, but it will be worth it. For one, I won’t have to type out lengthy emails to all the people who ask me how to get domain names, web hosting, and start a blog! Secondly, other people can have access to the information and help them in their bloggy pursuits. I was inspired by all the people who emailed me questions about starting an account with Hostgator. I hope this helps.
So that’s why I’ve been a little quiet here. Oh don’t worry, once I finish the series and take a break from that, I’ll be back here with relish, blabbering away like I usually do. Plus, my Alice.com order should be arriving in the next day or so, and I plan on making a full-fledged review of it.

I’m a married mom with 4 kids. We live in Upstate New York in an old 1855 house with our five pets (yes, five, *sigh*). Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I do freelance writing and blogging. My work and opinions have appeared in Salon.com, USAToday, eHow.com, iMedia.com, the Associated Press and I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

You’re really doing a hard work in this blog, Rebecca! I find everything here interesting. I’ll read right now your “How do I get a blog”, there are so many things I still need to learn about blogging… Thanks for sharing.
