Would You Go To College For Blogging?

Blabber

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

This is totally mind-blowing! A college course for blogging! Ashworth College is offering a 6-month course with turnkey instruction and more– all about blogging. I have a sudden case of the warm fuzzies. :D

I’m a “professional blogger,” which means I make money from blogging. I do text links inserts, sponsored posts, product reviews, contests, etc. Sometimes I get cash, sometimes I get free stuff. I didn’t start out blogging to make money– I was actually a political blogger way back in 2002, then I started a travel blog in 2006. Making money with blogging just developed over time. I absolutely LOVE blogging, both pro and as a hobby. But I wish I’d had some semblance of education to know what I was doing. I learned a lot by figuring things out myself (everything from imrpoving search engine optimization to website template design). It was a slow process, riddled with frustrations and blessings. But I do love being a blogger.

I think it would be terrific to take a course in blogging. What do you think? Do you think it would improve your blogging skills? I would like to learn more about SEO and getting more traffic, but I also wish I knew more about design. I am seriously considering taking the course. Not only to learn things, but just to say that I did it. What could be more cool on a resume than to state that I have an advanced blogging degree (besides maybe a doctorate in brain surgery)?

Would you ever take an online course for blogging? I’m tickled about the whole thing! Kudos to Ashworth College!

I certainly would take the course if I were going to blog professionally. It might be expensive for a hobby.

a course in blogging would be fun I think.(like after work class) I have done most everything by trial and error also. or help from other bloggers. a college course would be a bit much though.
